Privacy Policy
EFFECTIVE JUNE 10, 2026Rerun is a macOS app that records short video loops from your camera and plays them back through a virtual camera on your Mac. This policy describes what data Rerun handles — which is simple, because everything stays on your device.
What we collect
Nothing. Rerun collects no personal data, no usage analytics, no crash reports, and no identifiers of any kind.
Your camera and video
- Rerun accesses your camera only after you grant macOS camera permission, and only to show your live preview, record loops you initiate, and feed the virtual camera.
- Recorded loops are stored locally on your Mac (in Rerun's application container) and can be deleted by you at any time from within the app.
- Your video never leaves your Mac. Rerun has no network capability: it makes no network connections, uploads nothing, and contains no analytics or advertising frameworks.
On-device processing
The AI frame interpolation that makes loops seamless (a Core ML conversion of the open-source RIFE model) runs entirely on your device. No video or derived data is sent anywhere.
Third parties
Rerun integrates no third-party services, SDKs, or data processors. Other applications (such as video-conferencing apps) that you point at the “Rerun Camera” virtual camera receive the video frames you choose to play — exactly as they would from a physical camera you select in those apps.
This website
reruncam.com is a static site. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Fonts are served by Google Fonts, which receives the standard request metadata (such as your IP address) needed to deliver the font files. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may process request logs to operate and secure the service.
Changes
If a future version of Rerun ever changes any of the above, this policy and the app's App Store privacy details will be updated before that version ships.
